A VM has a VMware Video-card - so it needs VMware-drivers. I was able to install Intel HD Graphics on the same machine before to play. On a host with VT-d enabled, and you enable PCI Passthrough of the video card,. Control panel -> System -> Device Manager -> Display Adapter -> Right Click on The Intel HD Graphics -> Enable Device. After that the HDMI and DVI connectors work. So if you could script this process at Windows Boot time, Disable the HD graphics card and Enable it, the HDMI output or DVI output should enable.
